Sharing

Sharing lets you hand someone a link to a Story, Routine, or Token Board. Send one to a co-parent or a therapist and they open it in a browser, no account needed, and see a read-only version. It's free on every plan.

What it is

Sharing in Gentle Journeys means one thing: public link sharing. Every Story, Routine, and Token Board has a share setting. Turn it on and anyone with the link can open the interactive web viewer without signing in.

There's no PDF, no printing, no download, and no export anywhere in the product. Despite older copy that still mentions PDFs, that feature doesn't exist. Sharing is by link and nothing else.

How it works

  1. Open the Journeys library

    Go to your Journeys library in the web app. Each card has an overflow menu with a Share action.

  2. Turn on sharing

    Open the Share dialog and choose "Copy link." That turns sharing on and copies the link to your clipboard, with a short "Copied" confirmation.

  3. Copy again or stop sharing

    Once the item is shared, the dialog confirms with a "Link is live" state and shows the full address, alongside "Copy link" and "Stop sharing."

  4. See what a visitor sees

    Anyone who opens the link gets a read-only viewer for that content. No sign-in required.

What a shared link exposes

The link has no password. Anyone with the URL can open it until you stop sharing. A shared Story page also shows the person's name, age, and the description used to build it, so don't share one that includes anything you want kept private.

Plans and limits

Free
Included. Turn any Story, Routine, or Token Board into a public, read-only link. There's no plan check.
Premium
Same sharing as Free. Paying does not add share tokens, passwords, expiring links, per-recipient permissions, or view analytics.
GentleVoice
Same sharing as Free. New narration made for a shared link always uses the standard default voice, never your recorded one.

Troubleshooting

What it does not do

  • No PDF generation, print layout, download button, or file export, on web or mobile.
  • No share tokens, passwords, expiring links, or per-recipient permissions.
  • No view analytics on shared links.
  • No sharing of day plans, avatars, or profiles.
  • No collaborative or team access. A shared link is view-only for everyone who opens it.
  • The mobile app doesn't render another person's shared link in-app. It opens the web viewer in a browser.
  • No recorded voice on new narration for a shared link. The standard default voice reads it.
